Something Lemon and White with one eye and one ear

Luna is the lemon and white, Lucy is the black and white.
My little Luna needs some work on her eye. She has a luxating lens, which puts pressure on the eye, and she either needs a replacement lens, (3,000.00) or, eye removal, (600.00) in which case she will look like a pirate. I am having a hard time with this decision, as she is so expressive with her eyes. She is a Japanese Chin.

Her story goes as follows.. She was bought as a puppy by an older couple in Florida. The man of the house was out in the garden with Luna (then called something else) when by chance a younger man out on a walk with his little male black and white Chin, asked the older man (over the fence), if "that was a Japanese Chin". "Well, yes, it is! Do you want her?" he asked. "Yes! I'll have her!" said the young man. So the older man handed Luna (then called something else) over the fence and the younger man took her home to his then girlfriend, (just 17). Oh she fell in LOVE with Luna, (who was then called something else again), and they all lived happily together for about a month, until the girl became pregnant, the boyfriend (previously known as "younger man') left, and the girl moved back in with her parents, thus creating a problem. She couldn't for some reason move back in with two feisty dogs into a trailer with her parents. (what a nightmare for everybody, especially Luna, (who was then called something else). Well, she ended up in an Alabama Japanese Chin Rescue Foster home, and after a bit of adjusting, they determined her personality to be dominant aggressive with other dogs, and a biter. Not so! She is protective of her toys, and gets snappy if a dog tries to take her food while she is eating, but thats it. She loves to be cuddled with girls with long hair and high voices. She melts! She likes perfume and ladies laps, but she isn't that hot about boys, men, or people who look loud and rough. She watches them, like a little soldier. She lunges at big dogs that could eat her. She chases cats. She eats cat pooh if you don't watch her. She's a poo eater! YUCK. Luckily chances are very low that happens around here, as we are very good about our poo around this house. In fact, you could almost say, we are poo-less.

So Luna (who was at one point called "lexus" .. after the CAR)came to live with Lucy and Magic, Brutus (who ignores her) and Lulu who is too stupid to know what can happen to her if she moves in front of her, and now she is just part of the family. She is the first one out of the gate in the morning, the last one to come in. She fiercly guards her yard and deck, and loves people but isn't too hot about other dogs that may or may not get an ear rub or belly rub from mom. So, she is my little shadow. And now.. sigh.. I must decide about her eye. Should I have it removed? Or, should I get the lens replacement.. The dog won't see out of the eye either way, so as far as the vet is concerned it is more a human comfort to see a dog with both eyes. And, I see her point, as she is so precocious with her dark eyes being so expressive. She speaks with her eyes. So, I am trying to decide.. I think I may end up going with the removal, not as far as the money goes but more because with the implanted lens, they can suffer from discomfort from irritation and ulcering. Small percentage do, and it is hard to tell if they have pain. (According to the vet I use).

Christmas Tree

This is the coolest group of people in New South Wales. They are the Nambucca Glass Artisans group.. They made this gorgeous lamp and donated it to the "kids with cancer" program.. I am so humbled and in awe of this wonderful gift. The Christmas Tree. Is this gorgeous or what? I also love the Poppy lamps.. that is what I was on search for.. I want to do a poppy lamp for my parents. Thought the Tiffany Studio's design was most impressive to try next. I love the detail and it will be fun cutting this out..

my new sony! ;o

I am a lucky girl.. santa gave me this very cool camera for Christmas.. it is a sony dsc-w80, in silver.. I found a pic of one on the net.. I secretly wanted pink, but I am not telling santa that ;o

Eric took the sissy bar off so I wasn't along on this trip.. think it was to Leavenworth with Tacoma Hog.. really fun people and ladies of Harley are so diverse and interesting, and they do not make you craft centerpieces unless you WANT to! ;D This is Eric the Red on his Harley I got him for his birthday when we moved back to the states in 2005. He loves his bike. I like it too, but think the harley is a little like "gliding"... the exhaust pipe gets really hot on my right ankle each time.. haven't figured that one out yet.. have some hein gerrik leather boots, still .. I get zeh hot fooooot! There are over 15oo members in our club. We had a really great Christmas Party held in Puyallup at the sportsman club~ I met hundreds of people, had so much fun. They had this really great buffet dinner.. bacon wrapped cordon bleu, and prime rib, pastas and salads, etc.. hosted by a really great local place.. I sat under a buffalo. (gulp) .. all those heads made me nervous but eh, I soon was able to overlook the trophy walls. The oldest member (32 years) was Hans and his wife from Germany. He joined 32 years ago, and has gray hair and a long ponytail with three little bands.. he speaks English but not very well.. he did speak Danish of all things, so I was able to talk to him a little bit. We had a great night, met lots of people from Boeing. The live band was alright.. they did the old biker hits, and then some country songs and pop fusion? We had a great time.. I didn't sing but they wouldn't have known any jazz anyway.. ha~! I had a lot of fun this year

The Mall

I do hope everybody had a really great Christmas. The dinners are still going on over here. I think Americans allow a colest-a-fest once a year because .. well, it's good. That is the only thing I can come up with for the amount of fat I have ingested into my system. whew. I keep looking at my nutrisystem foods sitting all lonely in the corner.. and, that is sort of where they have been staying. But I know that after I am done being "on" and entertaining, which to me is the most fun about Christmas after the midnight mass.. (which I love doing) I will hopefully settle down into a bit strict like regime.. mhmmmm...
The food is better than it was ten years ago when I did the program. The food is actually palatable, and that's saying something because I love to cook. The lasagna is just bad, that's all I'm saying. Bad, but .. the other things .. not so bad. Since I have a few more days of playing I am making tapioca pudding for the kids tonight a roast beef (garlic rub) with natural juices as aus jus of course, hmmm... I am having garlic mashed potatoes and someone has made a crust to chill.. aHA! and I think a peach pie for dessert! I made spinach dip and ate half of it. Not good but someone had to be the one to make a dent in it.
I opened a tiny present from the kids.. they went together this year and bought mom a beautiful angel pendant. It's like the size of a dime, etched angel and on a shiny gold chain, I love this! Also Santa got me a gorgeous Sony dsc digital.. got a yummy robe and some Belgian chocolates, some bare mineral makeup which I love love love, in light-fairly light, set of brushes, and the primer which is sort of like the older fruition by es tee Lauder, only updated.. um.. some Donna Karan did I spell her right.. cashmere mist (mm) and some very sexy poison which I think only a few select can actually wear.

Ham ham ham ham ham, so tomorrow it is the final ham dinner.. split pea soup with ham bone.. my dad's recipe, his famous "kick ass split pea soup" OK.. and yes he did create that catchy name himself!

I bought the kids a double pad DDR and xbox360. They were all out of wiiiiiiiii's.. so later for that I guess. Clothes and money cards for their fav stores, borders, hot topic, gap, etc.. and I bought some really cool beer making supplies for Santa. He was good this year! I also bought some essence of orange and apricot, so I can add the vodka and voila it is liqueur! When I figure my new camera out I will be posting pics of fun stuff.. the instruction booklet is small on this cam, I guess they figured only smart people would be buying it.. :o Who's in trouble now? ;o
