Iowa hoopla

Last night I watched the hoopla in Iowa. I heard Obama talking about "hope". I liked his speech, and then there is New Hampshire, so we will see what happens there. I sort of like John Edwards better though. I can't seem to warm up to Hilary. Oh I guess I will stop there. I will support that office, but I'd like to see John Edwards win, he's my fav this time around.

Aliens go register. We love our many cultures here, but you have to sign up to live here, you can't just get in for free!

Health benefits should be available to everybody for free. Dynamic doctors need to give a little, and forget their incomes. (yeah like that will happen).

We need to stop bashing the presidential office, and we need to show support for our commander in chief. He won't be in office forever, lets not embarrass ourselves anymore as a nation by trashing our most highly held office.

Have respect, show respect, learn to respect.

Everybody needs to learn English if they don't know it when they move here. I had to learn Norwegian, when I lived in Norway.. if I didn't people would look the other way as if I wasn't there. That was pretty hard for me at first, I felt very indignant.. so I just started speaking very limited (poor) Norwegian and made them work. Sure, it was fun for me, but you have to do what you have to do. So over there, it was either speak Norwegian, or nobody would speak to me. End of story.

(oh, you could speak Danish or Swedish and slide by sometimes, but they looked at you "funny like".)

Everybody should learn self defense martial arts, drink green tea and meditate on anger issues. Disassemble the handguns and sawed off shotguns and turn into the police for cash on the spot.

Anybody at all should be exhiled from America if they are caught with any bombs, equipment to build a bomb, or, if they apply for a PILOTS LICENSE and are not interested in the landing part. Pay attention to them!

Big Brother has my permission to listen in on any phone calls from my house, monitor any computer in my house for illegal activity and should be allowed to monitor ANYBODY'S phone calls, computer usage and comings and goings. If it isn't legal, you shouldn't be DOIN' it.

Drug dealers and child molesters should never be given a second chance. Pay attention.

Listen to your children and believe them if they are trying to tell you something. Pay attention.

Nobody under the age of 18 should drink alcohol or smoke marijuana. It makes them stupid.
Anybody caught drunk driving or D.U.I., should have their license revoked forever. They should be made to attend AA meetings, mandatory fine of a very high amount, and should be shown pictures (evidence photos) of people killed by drunk drivers. No exceptions.

People infected with hepatitis should not be allowed to work with food or in hospitals. No exceptions. If they are offended, too bad. Tough breaks.

Cameras should be installed in the wash hands area of restaurant restrooms, and anybody who does not wash their hands should leave the building before returning to their workplace, and never be allowed in the building again. People who don't wash their hands after using the bathroom are gross and shouldn't be allowed to touch other peoples' food.

Web Cams should be installed in all restaurant kitchens, constantly panning over stoves, refrigerators, and chef counters, pastry counters, to constantly check on hygeine. Dirty cooks go home and stay there. Floors and counters, utensils and dishes need to be heat sanitized nightly daily, and before each use. Keep it clean, chefs, keep it clean.

Anybody caught with a fighting dog goes to jail and their dogs are put down.
Pitbulls should be prohibited from being bred. Anybody that is convicted of cruelty to animals should be dealt with seriously and as a criminal.

Every city should hire ten more police officers and give them cars and free lunches. They should also get in to movies free of charge because of all they do.

School teachers need to shut up about their salaries. Nurses too. They get enough. They didn't used to get enough, but now they do, so they can shut up. No more protesting while people need their services.

Hair dressers who give a bad haircut should have to pay for wigs and hats to the client and the next hair cut is on THEM with whomever the client chooses.

Facials and pedicures for everybody!

Sushi for everybody!

And that's all I have to say about that.

(I should probably drink some green tea myself today.. sigh.. I am so feisty this morning)

Today I feel like Mr. French

I am really sure I ate too much pie over Christmas because I can't button my jeans and I sort of feel like Sebastian Cabot.

929.00 Seattle to Malaga

One of my resolutions this year is to go to Malaga and stay in the villa my family uses.. bonus, only 929,- usd per person, a couple weeks in Spain in April, woot. This is the best time to go to Spain. They have the festival feria April .. mucho dancing flamenco, drinking wine and eating really, really good paella. I am there.

sushi is allowed! I am happy! ;o

A ten piece sushi roll is allowed as a dinner. I am so relieved! hooray!!!!

It starts out fine.. but then.. you see the oreos..

Lucy and Luna enjoy their cob! See Luna's left eye a bit prominant.. ouchies!

Diets.
-Oh sure it always starts out fine. But then you see the oreo bag. Breakfast, 1 oz. dry oatmeal w/ non fat milk, 1/2 banana, green tea w/pomogranate, squeeze of lemon. yum! Snack, tangerine. Ice water. Lunch, salad greens with the ever delicious nutrisystem "tuna salad" on top, more ice water. Dress it up with crystal light green tea with immune boosting pomogranate extract, vitamin c, more ice chips.

Then some saboteur comes home with Oreo cookies in the peel back stay fresh cellophane baglet, and you think.. well, one oreo is like the same amount of calories as a tangerine.. so one little substitution isn't going to make any difference at all. And, I can have a half of glass milk, with the ONE oreo.. so .. ten oreos later, you blew it so you may as well eat them all, because you already blew it for today anyway and start it tomorrow.

So, I have 28 dinner entrees, and 15 lunch and 15 breakfasts. That means 15 times I blew it. wah!

The next time I see oreos, I shall scream and run fast away. I keep looking at my jordache jeans. The last time I wore them, I went to see Jerry Seinfeld at the comedy store. And my sweater had padded shoulders. And I had big hair. ;o

Something Lemon and White with one eye and one ear

Luna is the lemon and white, Lucy is the black and white.
My little Luna needs some work on her eye. She has a luxating lens, which puts pressure on the eye, and she either needs a replacement lens, (3,000.00) or, eye removal, (600.00) in which case she will look like a pirate. I am having a hard time with this decision, as she is so expressive with her eyes. She is a Japanese Chin.

Her story goes as follows.. She was bought as a puppy by an older couple in Florida. The man of the house was out in the garden with Luna (then called something else) when by chance a younger man out on a walk with his little male black and white Chin, asked the older man (over the fence), if "that was a Japanese Chin". "Well, yes, it is! Do you want her?" he asked. "Yes! I'll have her!" said the young man. So the older man handed Luna (then called something else) over the fence and the younger man took her home to his then girlfriend, (just 17). Oh she fell in LOVE with Luna, (who was then called something else again), and they all lived happily together for about a month, until the girl became pregnant, the boyfriend (previously known as "younger man') left, and the girl moved back in with her parents, thus creating a problem. She couldn't for some reason move back in with two feisty dogs into a trailer with her parents. (what a nightmare for everybody, especially Luna, (who was then called something else). Well, she ended up in an Alabama Japanese Chin Rescue Foster home, and after a bit of adjusting, they determined her personality to be dominant aggressive with other dogs, and a biter. Not so! She is protective of her toys, and gets snappy if a dog tries to take her food while she is eating, but thats it. She loves to be cuddled with girls with long hair and high voices. She melts! She likes perfume and ladies laps, but she isn't that hot about boys, men, or people who look loud and rough. She watches them, like a little soldier. She lunges at big dogs that could eat her. She chases cats. She eats cat pooh if you don't watch her. She's a poo eater! YUCK. Luckily chances are very low that happens around here, as we are very good about our poo around this house. In fact, you could almost say, we are poo-less.

So Luna (who was at one point called "lexus" .. after the CAR)came to live with Lucy and Magic, Brutus (who ignores her) and Lulu who is too stupid to know what can happen to her if she moves in front of her, and now she is just part of the family. She is the first one out of the gate in the morning, the last one to come in. She fiercly guards her yard and deck, and loves people but isn't too hot about other dogs that may or may not get an ear rub or belly rub from mom. So, she is my little shadow. And now.. sigh.. I must decide about her eye. Should I have it removed? Or, should I get the lens replacement.. The dog won't see out of the eye either way, so as far as the vet is concerned it is more a human comfort to see a dog with both eyes. And, I see her point, as she is so precocious with her dark eyes being so expressive. She speaks with her eyes. So, I am trying to decide.. I think I may end up going with the removal, not as far as the money goes but more because with the implanted lens, they can suffer from discomfort from irritation and ulcering. Small percentage do, and it is hard to tell if they have pain. (According to the vet I use).

Christmas Tree

This is the coolest group of people in New South Wales. They are the Nambucca Glass Artisans group.. They made this gorgeous lamp and donated it to the "kids with cancer" program.. I am so humbled and in awe of this wonderful gift. The Christmas Tree. Is this gorgeous or what? I also love the Poppy lamps.. that is what I was on search for.. I want to do a poppy lamp for my parents. Thought the Tiffany Studio's design was most impressive to try next. I love the detail and it will be fun cutting this out..

my new sony! ;o

I am a lucky girl.. santa gave me this very cool camera for Christmas.. it is a sony dsc-w80, in silver.. I found a pic of one on the net.. I secretly wanted pink, but I am not telling santa that ;o

Eric took the sissy bar off so I wasn't along on this trip.. think it was to Leavenworth with Tacoma Hog.. really fun people and ladies of Harley are so diverse and interesting, and they do not make you craft centerpieces unless you WANT to! ;D This is Eric the Red on his Harley I got him for his birthday when we moved back to the states in 2005. He loves his bike. I like it too, but think the harley is a little like "gliding"... the exhaust pipe gets really hot on my right ankle each time.. haven't figured that one out yet.. have some hein gerrik leather boots, still .. I get zeh hot fooooot! There are over 15oo members in our club. We had a really great Christmas Party held in Puyallup at the sportsman club~ I met hundreds of people, had so much fun. They had this really great buffet dinner.. bacon wrapped cordon bleu, and prime rib, pastas and salads, etc.. hosted by a really great local place.. I sat under a buffalo. (gulp) .. all those heads made me nervous but eh, I soon was able to overlook the trophy walls. The oldest member (32 years) was Hans and his wife from Germany. He joined 32 years ago, and has gray hair and a long ponytail with three little bands.. he speaks English but not very well.. he did speak Danish of all things, so I was able to talk to him a little bit. We had a great night, met lots of people from Boeing. The live band was alright.. they did the old biker hits, and then some country songs and pop fusion? We had a great time.. I didn't sing but they wouldn't have known any jazz anyway.. ha~! I had a lot of fun this year

The Mall

I do hope everybody had a really great Christmas. The dinners are still going on over here. I think Americans allow a colest-a-fest once a year because .. well, it's good. That is the only thing I can come up with for the amount of fat I have ingested into my system. whew. I keep looking at my nutrisystem foods sitting all lonely in the corner.. and, that is sort of where they have been staying. But I know that after I am done being "on" and entertaining, which to me is the most fun about Christmas after the midnight mass.. (which I love doing) I will hopefully settle down into a bit strict like regime.. mhmmmm...
The food is better than it was ten years ago when I did the program. The food is actually palatable, and that's saying something because I love to cook. The lasagna is just bad, that's all I'm saying. Bad, but .. the other things .. not so bad. Since I have a few more days of playing I am making tapioca pudding for the kids tonight a roast beef (garlic rub) with natural juices as aus jus of course, hmmm... I am having garlic mashed potatoes and someone has made a crust to chill.. aHA! and I think a peach pie for dessert! I made spinach dip and ate half of it. Not good but someone had to be the one to make a dent in it.
I opened a tiny present from the kids.. they went together this year and bought mom a beautiful angel pendant. It's like the size of a dime, etched angel and on a shiny gold chain, I love this! Also Santa got me a gorgeous Sony dsc digital.. got a yummy robe and some Belgian chocolates, some bare mineral makeup which I love love love, in light-fairly light, set of brushes, and the primer which is sort of like the older fruition by es tee Lauder, only updated.. um.. some Donna Karan did I spell her right.. cashmere mist (mm) and some very sexy poison which I think only a few select can actually wear.

Ham ham ham ham ham, so tomorrow it is the final ham dinner.. split pea soup with ham bone.. my dad's recipe, his famous "kick ass split pea soup" OK.. and yes he did create that catchy name himself!

I bought the kids a double pad DDR and xbox360. They were all out of wiiiiiiiii's.. so later for that I guess. Clothes and money cards for their fav stores, borders, hot topic, gap, etc.. and I bought some really cool beer making supplies for Santa. He was good this year! I also bought some essence of orange and apricot, so I can add the vodka and voila it is liqueur! When I figure my new camera out I will be posting pics of fun stuff.. the instruction booklet is small on this cam, I guess they figured only smart people would be buying it.. :o Who's in trouble now? ;o

The Van Gogh Raspberry Starburst Ripple~

This is the coolest thing twist on a round ripple. This is for Lucy's carseat. She slips around on the leather and can't get any traction... Poor little chin! So this will be inside her donut bed that she sits in when she cruises with mom. I used caron two strands larger hook, rr pattern, and blended the colors gradually three rows caron rubine red, three rows rubine red with watermelon, three rows watermelon, three rows watermelon and soft pink.. will do three soft pink, and then soft pink and cream, and then three of cream alone, making a gradual dark to light effect. I love the colors and the softness of the caron yarn. Lucy likes afghans but won't sit in her doggy donut. She gets in it and stands.. I cannot believe (yes I can) the extent I go for this little sweetie.. but she is just the most adorable dog.. Magic would lay in mud, he is not picky. (uhm, he has layed in mud many times). But Lucy is an entirely different animal, so we just go with the flow and work with her, work with her, baby! She's going to just love her new bed! whew!

Hello bloggers of the world!

Bloggers of the world, I have missed you! I haven't had time to re-invent my blog since I hastily deleted it a while back by mistake! Woe is me, I pressed the wrong button! Alas, I could not retrieve it. And it took me literally moments to create back in 2002! So I was pacifying my friends and family with letters copied to just everyb o d y .. which I still do.. but.. I prefer this .. if they want to read it, please do, if they do not, I won't bother them with cc's.

I love you all, more later after a sushi run.. After all, first things first!
